About David Coltman

 

I have worked as a bow and string instrument restorer for over 25 years. I worked at the prestigious violin shop Edward Withers, London and most recently in Chiswick with Matthew Coltman, in Chiswick.

As an independent restorer, I carry out repairs and restorations to violins, violas, cellos and bows for professional and amateur players. I also have a comprehensive educational department that caters for students of all ages.

Being a violinist, I have a musician’s insight in to high quality tonal adjustments and set-ups. I have played the violin since childhood and consider this integral in understanding stringed instruments and the needs of musicians.
